QC scored two in top of the first on an unearned run and an RBI single by Liz Whitney The Fusion tied the game in the bottom of the inning on a two out RBI single by Cassie Saufley scoring Shannon Stuart and Andi Wilson.

In the top of the third the Firebirds plated 3 runs, 2 on an RBI 2B by Emily Watkins and two more unearned runs in the fourth to make the score 7-2.

The Fusion added 2 in the bottom of 5th when a one out 2B by Kyley McKeown scored Stuart and Wilson to make the score 7-4. Both teams went scoreless the rest of the way.
