Fusion History Lesson #1

Does anyone remember the title game at the Pekin Shootout on June 11, 2006?  I sure do.  Current Fusion SS Lindsey Krippel had about 12 assists at SS as the Livingston County Express defeated the Fusion 5-2 in the Championship game.  

Second Place - Pekin Shootout

The Fusion had run ruled the Express 14-5 the day before in pool play.  Current Fusion Utility player Brittiany Tjarks was part of the winning battery in the Championship game.

The game started out with a bang as the Express coach got tossed after Brittiany hit Fusion leadoff batter Allie Lindstrom iin the back running to 1B after a bunt.  Allie was out of the baseline but the umps missed it and the Express coach got a little excited.  Always enjoyed playing the Express.

The Express was an 12U-A team at this time.  We probably should of been as we went on to win 12U-B State a month later.
